Running late for a doctor appointment and running late for a tee time have certain things in common. Both ways, YOU ARE LATE. Both ways YOU WILL BE UNEXPECTEDLY DELAYED! Yes, somehow, someway, you'll choose the wrong route or an accident ahead of you will bring traffic to a crawl OR, as was my fate, you'll get a traffic ticket!!!

7:26 am - Head Nut household.  Mrs. Head Nut: "You know it takes a half hour to get to Dr. Campbell's office...you're going to be late!" Head Nut: "It only takes YOU a half hour...I'm fine!" **better known as Famous Last Words** Mrs. Head Nut (under her breath: "mutter, mutter, mutter, jerk, mutter, mutter."

And off I go... now fast forward 15 minutes later... Head Nut: "Officer, was I speeding?" Police Officer: "No sir, there was a pedestrian in the crossing and you failed to yield." Head Nut: "I honestly didn't see anyone. Are you sure? Was he carrying golf clubs? I would have noticed those!" Officer: "License and registration, sir."

Fast Forward 15 minutes later... the Head Nut arrives at the doctor's office 10 minutes late with a traffic ticket in the amount of $167.00 stuffed in his pocket.

Fast Forward 45 minutes later - Head Nut household. Mrs. Head Nut: "See, I told you it takes a half hour!"

I just love Monday...don't you?
