HN and Golf Nut Joe Kirk Take on Revere at Anthem
Today's the day, qualifying for the Troon Challenge on the Lexington Course at Revere at Anthem. In a "casting call" to find a Golf Nut who could get cleared to play golf on Father's Day, Golf Nut (and all around good guy) Joe Kirk rang me up in less than an hour after my email went out. So, this morning we'll team up in a 2-Person Best Ball in the hope of moving on to the next level and ultimately traveling to Disney World for the National Finals!

Strange day! Now the second round of the U.S. Open is complete and we're all waiting for the USGA to re-pair players and begin round 3, which will (hopefully) finish early tomorrow. The second round standings in the Golf Nut U.S. Open Challenge are as follows:

RAIN OUT!
An auspicous start for the Golf Nuts 2009 U.S. Open Challenge as Round #1 was suspened for rain (understatement) but begins again today in just 20 minutes. Our turnout for the Challenge was very good and extremely interesting. EVERY contestant picked TIGER WOODS on their team...not a big surprise but still unusual. Of course the rain on Long Island will make this a pretty even competition with the conditions leveling the playing field.
