HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR NEWEST GOLF NUT... #5629 BEN KOSIBA

 

It is true that we seldom, if ever, wish a Golf Nut "Happy Birthday" on the front page of our web site. But, Ben Kosiba is "special." "Now wait a minute Head Nut," I hear most of you saying; "Does that mean you don't think I'm "special" too?" Of course I think all our Golf Nuts are special. It's just that the circumsatnces of Ben's membership are just a little bizzare, but so is where he keeps his golf memorabilia!

 

Let me explain... It all started well over a year ago. Ben's daughter, Cindy, wanted to get her dad something really special for his birthday. Knowing her dad's passion for golf, Cindy decided that he should be a registered Golf Nut. So she went to the old, old Golf Nuts website and purchased a Lifetime Membership. As her Dad's birthday drew near and no membership had arrived, she contacted the Head Nut through Golf Nuts Customer Service. It seems that the initial membership was "lost" when the Golf Nuts changed Shopping Cart processors. Sadly, during the time it took to fix the problem, Ben's birthday had passed.

 

Now, many people might have been angry with a great present spoiled. Not Cindy. She decided that it would be worth the wait to make the membership the surprise she had originally wanted. She made the Head Nut PROMISE that we'd get Ben started on his birthday the following year. During those twelve months a lot of things happened. First, I got to know Cindy and we corresponded via email on occassion. She is a delightful person and truly loves her dad! Second, the Golf Nut Society changed operating systems TWICE during the year, thereby assuring that Ben's membership was completely messed up. And third, Cindy had a baby.

Fast forward to about two weeks ago. The Head Nut received a little "reminder" from the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it email address. It was from Cindy's mom. Thank God for inventing mothers...otherwise we wouldn't be reading this until next year! So a plan was hatched and a "Goodie Box" was sent to Ben in Canada (which I hope arrived by now) alerting him that he was now an Offical Golf Nut!

Ben, I'm sorry it took so long but HAPPY BIRTHDAY and WELCOME to the Golf Nut Society!

Oh... I almost forgot,want to know why I've given Mr. Kosiba the nickname "Bathroom" Ben?

Well, here's the deal. Our newest Golf Nut is clearly a GREAT Husband AND should probably be in Government because he must also be a GREAT negotiator. You see Ben Kosiba has a lot of golf memorabilia. Ben's wife would prefer that it NOT be displayed all over the house sooooooooo the compromise is a "Golf Bathroom."
Now when I first heard this I laughed out loud, thinking; "what the heck could you actually fit in a bathroom?" Well, my fellow Golf Nuts check out the pictures below and you tell me how much stuff is in Ben's "Golf Bathroom." Here's a clue... he has earned 360 Nut Points already for what is visible on display.
